HAGA Announces Glass Professional of the Year 2020: Landon Lovette

Landon Lovette has served on the Houston Area Glass Association board since 2019 as the chapter Treasurer.

Landon is the Houston area sales representative for Door Control Services where he has been a top performer in sales for 4 years. He was awarded the Houston area sales representative employee of the year for 2020. His focus is to supply customers with automatic doors and door hardware in new construction projects while providing an efficient and timely sales process.

Landon graduated from Texas Tech University with his B.S. in 2011. He now lives in Richmond, TX with his wife Jenna and their 3 kids; Brynlee, Teagan and Keller. During his down time, Landon enjoys spending time with his family and being involved with their extra-curricular activities.

Houston Area Glass Association (HAGA) Supports New, Reimagined Industry Pavilion at GlassBuild America 2021

GlassBuildTV programming will display important resources for glass, fenestration and construction industry professionals. HAGA members can attend GlassBuild for free.
Vienna, VA—July 9, 2021- HAGA announces it is a supporting organization of a new Industry Pavilion concept to premier at GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo on September 13-15 in Atlanta, GA, presented by The National Glass Association (NGA).
Located in booth 3625, the Industry Pavilion will showcase resources from leading associations, organizations and stakeholders spanning all avenues of the glass, fenestration and construction industries in a new digital format. HAGA will be featured on the brand new GlassBuildTV platform, which showcases informative and educational content from across the industry.

One of the silver linings of the pandemic-related travel restrictions is the ability to attend myriad conferences and events virtually. Although the coronavirus is indelibly shaping the industry, the events of late aren’t hyper-focused on how to deal with the pandemic anymore. Rather, the industry appears to be evolving to a space where we can resume business and conversations as normal, addressing COVID only when it directly affects a given area.

Labor is one such example. Although the skilled labor shortage is a long-discussed topic, it’s a conversation happening with renewed vigor.

The Center for Risk Management at the Gulf Coast Safety Institute invites you to attend health and safety classes with no enrollment fee. Since 1999 the College of the Mainland has received generous support from the Texas Mutual Insurance Company to educate employers, workers and community members about occupational safety and health.

SPECIAL NOTE: Due to social distancing requirements associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, all in-person classes will have limited enrollment and absolutely NO walk-ins will be allowed. Per college policy, everyone entering the building will be required to wear a mask/face covering over the mouth and nose at all times, without exception. In the event that we are not able to host a scheduled in-person class due to restrictions, the same topic will be offered as a virtual meeting via Microsoft Teams. Details on any changes will be emailed to registered students.
